I'm an Oakland-based documentary filmmaker and journalist committed to telling stories of resistance. I’ve field produced in Myanmar, Korea, India, Guam, above the Arctic Circle in rural Alaska, in the cab of a semi truck, Oklahoma, Louisiana, and Nacogdoches, Texas. I’ve interviewed Bill Nye, violent Buddhist monks, and mothers who have lost children to gun violence.
This year I won a Capital Emmy for Deaf in America, a series I lead produced for the documentary show Untold America. I work full time with AJ+ and my content is regularly viewed by millions of people online.
